altBlizzard has cracked down on the use of bots in its free-to-play card battler Hearthstone, a move that has culled thousands of accounts and marks the beginning of a zero tolerance approach to cheating.


Blizzard has always been very clear on its stance on automated gameplay bots, but in an interview with PC Gamer last month one of the top botters said ""I've never seen one person caught or banned or, you know, anything at all... Even an email from Blizzard."

A calm and smart-sounding Sony manager called Pete Edward stepped up and gave a presentation about their plans for an ambitious new virtual world: PlayStation Home. It blew my mind. I remember instantly seeing the huge potential that a world like this could have. altPlayStation Home's service will shut down in European territories on March 31 2015, the same date that the social platform will close in Asian regions.

 

"Due to a shifting landscape, PlayStation Home will cease publishing new content on the 12th of November, 2014," Sony confirmed in a statement.

altSEC filing reveals that the transaction is now officially closed While it had been thought for some time that Google might purchase online streaming service Twitch, Amazon surprised us all in late August when it announced the acquisition of the company for nearly a billion dollars. Twitch shareholders had already approved the deal at the time it was announced, which may explain why it's closed so fast. An Amazon SEC filing from September 25 has revealed that the deal is now officially complete.
