At the game show PAX East, Alienware announced their updated 17-inch gaming laptop with cutting edge hardware and software. The 2018 Alienware 17 will retain industry-leading features, including integrated Tobii eye tracking technology, while refreshing other components to increase system performance and improve user experience.


New Vive Pro bundle cuts headset price!

The price of entry for the premium Vive Pro has been lowered with the announcement of a new bundle. In an official blog post, HTC unveiled the Vive Pro Starter Kit, which will be made available through the Vive website from Friday, April 5th.It contains the Vive Pro headset, two Vive 1.0 controllers and two 1.0 base stations for $1,099. Given that the HMD was only recently priced at $799, and the controllers and base stations sell for $129.99 and $134.99 respectively, that trims the Pro's price by $100.

Nvidia files patent suit against Samsung, Qualcomm

altNvidia has filed a patent suit against Samsung and Qualcomm, the first time the company has started legal proceedings of this kind.

A post on the Nvidia website described it as, "an important day," for the company, one that brought the first patent lawsuit in its 21-year history. Nvidia claims it attempted to strike a licensing deal with Samsung after illustrating the links with its patents, but, "we made no progress."
