Microsoft has announced the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing, which will be the press conference before E3 2018 officially starts. It will take place at the Microsoft Theater on June 10th, 2018 at 1 pm PT. The Xbox E3 2018 Briefing will not be the only event taking place at the new location. There will also be various Xbox FanFest activities, as well as hands-on gameplay and demos for all E3 attendees.

The change in location from the usual show floor at the Los Angeles Convention Center to the Microsoft Theatre reportedly allows Xbox to "centralize its presence" at E3." The bigger space also enables them to fit in more games developers and attendees than ever before. Xbox is even claiming this year to be its biggest E3 showing ever since making its first appearance at E3 2000.

All of that doesn't mean that Microsoft and Xbox have completely abandoned the LACC. They will be maintaining a presence there with a newly-dedicated Mixer booth, where attendees can play, stream and interact with games, as well as catch the latest E3 news live throughout the entire week.

However, no specific details have been revealed by Microsoft or Xbox regarding what will be in store for attendees. Xbox plans to divulge more information next month, as we get closer to the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing and main E3 2018 event itself.

In other E3 2018-related news, EA has also announced that the pre-E3 EA Play event will be returning this year. It will take place at the Hollywood Palladium, which is also outside of the actual E3 2018 LACC venue. The three-day event will include hands-on experiences for attendees, while several of the biggest community creators in the world will be sharing early game footage.

The main E3 2018 event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 12 to June 14, 2018. Head on over to the E3 ticket hub to purchase tickets. We think that Microsoft and EA organizing their E3 2018 events at different venues will go a long way towards making the main event LACC venue less crowded and avoid a repeat of last year's chaotic E3.
